Immortal

I realised that I've been very poor in posting the results of the May Challenge, let alone judge the June Challenge...so let's get May out of the way.

May Challenge Results.

Thanks to all those that entered the May Challenge II - "Chair or Chairs"

1st - 37 / 40 - Aksel for this shot of the Bislett Stadium

2nd - 25 / 40 - Cheapsuit/ Frank for his shot of plastic garden chairs

3rd - 20 / 40 - Jasdg/ Jose-Angel for his very very tall chair!

I'm grateful to all those that entered and hope the comments were useful?

The images were judged in four categories...

Relevance and Creativity
The competition will define the criteria for entries so how close to the definition is the shot. For example a theme of 'dog' would really need to have a dog as the focal point or main feature.

Overall impact
You can take a perfectly framed picture, appropriately composed and executed but it can still be dull…does it have any wow factor?

Composition
Is it appropriately composed, not necessarily rule of thirds or symmetrically presented but are the focal parts in the right place? Is it natural on the eye?

Quality of image
For example is it free from camera shake, noise and straight e.g. a seascape horizon that isn't flat or building that rises at an unintentional angle.

The views expressed are simply my own and you are free to judge the images in your own way and draw your own conclusions.  I am sure the photographers would welcome any additional comments.

Thanks
