Feather
Well this is it for me for 2006. I'm taking time off over Christmas and then going on holiday. I will return with hopefully a whole new pile of shots to post at the end of January 2007.
So here's my Queen's speech...
It's been an eventful 12 months and on many occasions I've felt tired, challenged and definitely subliminally forced to have to stay up late to have to post an image when I'd much rather go to bed. But I would not have changed a thing. In the last 12 months I've discovered a passion and thirst for photography. I've been compelled to put things before you in the hope of public approval...it's like an addiction (clearly it is an addiction but not being an addict I can't admit to being addicted). Apart from perhaps deleting all my shots off the hard drive...but I'm over that now I've not regretted what I've done...even the critique I leave I feel is welcomed. I've learnt a lot about people just from studying the way we all interact...a fascinating social study.
I want to thank each and everyone of you that has visited either to look or to comment and even those that have passed purely by accident perhaps looking for tupperware. Without you I certainly wouldn't have learnt and I certainly wouldn't have taken so many shots and I certainly wouldn't be writing all this. I'm not going to list names partly in fear of forgetting someone but I hope you know who you are when I say I've enjoyed the banter. Take care over Christmas, remember what it's all about and I look forward to continuing the journey with you all in 2007.
I'll end by letting you know who and what I've been impressed with this year.
Aside from the fact that he has gone awol at the moment Jarrett at
gorin-images because I love his compositions.
WeeklyShot because the quality of the images featured are stunning and it's given me a challenge. In terms of keeping in touch (relatively speaking)
netvibes has been an absolute saviour. As for a processing style that I favour and a blog that always impresses then it's
MUTE. Finally from a music point of view my new favourite discovery is PandoraBy for now...and behave whilst I'm away ;)
