Skybound

Oh and the Red Arrows were there to get the event started...

For those of you who have an attention to detail or linger longer than the average blog traffic...yes there's a missing plane, apparently he's broken his wrist.

BeakerSt: Thanks Dotun, simple but effective
Bravo! Well caught.

Fabulous photo. A blogger/photographer friend has been featuring photos from an air show on his blog as well.

What, the plane broke his wrist? grin I always remember the red arrows being at these events. A grand prix without an air display by the Red Arrows just does not seem right. Very well captured and photographed Simon. Super exposure and ace composition. Many regards, Neil.
BeakerSt: Ha ha, thanks Neil.
Wow now that's a vapur trail! These guys are fantastic.

Great capture.
BeakerSt: Thanks Bernie and congrats on 100!
These guys are so thrilling to watch, and I really feel you have captured this. (:o)
BeakerSt: Thanks Rosalyn, they did put on quite a display!
Beautiful Composition!!! Interesting detail the missing airplane. And I really think that I would have totally forgotten to press the shutter if I were watching the show. smile My compliments!!
BeakerSt: Thanks Patrick, I was the opposite and forgot to watch them!

Dont know what there left to say about this one Simon...
Love it!!
Petra
BeakerSt: Thanks Petra, I knew it was nice but not this nice!! Glad to see you are in the Facebook Shutterchance group as well smile
I don't know if you fully appreciate what you've done Simon. We who shoot Air Shows on a regular basis would give our right arms for such a shot. The sky is wonderful, the comp is spot on but what makes this is you've managed to keep who they are secret. Even though we all know what aircraft they fly there are about 8 other countries that fly the same and you caught their transition trail ( no colour dye coming off the manifold ). The missing pilot must have injuried himself at the last minute because they do have a stand by pilot for just such an occasion. Very well done, any chance your going to the Air Tattoo this weekend ?
BeakerSt: Wow, I'm really flattered that you think so highly of it. I wasn't going to go to the Air Tattoo but I've since seen that Johnny Ball will be there...tempting!
thats really fine fine one congrats.
BeakerSt: Thanks for the positive vibe! smile

The best in the world. And the fly guys aren't bad either.

Simon, this is the classiest shot I've ever seen of the Red Arrows, and I've seen a few. We, as they, were stationed at RAF Scampton some years back.
BeakerSt: Colin, you're too kind a usual!
