Lane 8

Just for blackdog...the Grand Prix is such an event, can just look like scalextric though.

OK, it is scalextric...found in a tent in one of Silverstone's 'Ezones'.

Sunburn is getting better...

I grew up owning one of these things, loved them to death, then came playstations and computer games and no one would race with me sad

BeakerSt: An eight lane track would be heaven...we buy now what we weren't allowed then!! Just panelling the loft now wink
Yeah miniature action racing. Love these things.
Great and funny shot. I think I'll go up to the attic and pull out my ol' tracks and cars.
BeakerSt: I think that's what most of us are currently doing!!
LoL! I love it! My daughter got a scalextric for her first Christmas....aged six months! She has still not been allowed to play with it, and she is twentynine now. lol!(:o)
BeakerSt: Ha ha, love it, we buy children what we really want ourselves!

We held the national Scalextric championships here at Vodafone in Newbury a few weeks back and I got a few 'pit lane' shots of the pre-championship races as between our partners, which was run for the Naomi House trust, one of our supported charities.

Since I had a dismal time of the real thing in Myrtle Beach, I think I'll try some of these. Watch tomorrow!

For now, this is great. Those darn things are so fast it's almost impossible to get them in shot!
BeakerSt: Perhaps you need to host a Shutterchance Grand Prix!!

Great composition again Simon. I miss my Scalextric.. started with the 2 minis and then had a 911 that beat everything, and a TR7 which was pants. Quite like life then.
I can see it now.. the shutterchance Scalextric challenge...

ps: Chunter - it wouldn't be impossible to get them in shot when Simon is driving wink
BeakerSt: Cheers Mr Smith, and less defamatory remarks about my driving thank you!! The speedo goes up to 150 so it must be there for a reason wink

Well Simon, it looks like you got my racing shots well and truly beat!! Lovely "action" shot mate. Like the others, it brings back many childhood memories, thank you. Kind regards, Neil.
BeakerSt: Cheers Neil, it's made an memorable trigger for a lot of people by the look of it.

I was just going to say the same as Neil and the others - happy memories!
BeakerSt: Cheers tadders, we're going to do a 24 hours Scalextric event for SC'rs...well maybe wink
Ah, boyhood memories! All the best, Dave.
BeakerSt: Cheers Fretman, I'm sure we'd all still have them...if we were allowed.

A good one, it got me to page back and found 'Fan club' which is excellent.
BeakerSt: Thanks Louis, 'Fan Club' is an image I'm quite pleased with...a bit more challenging to me than a lot of my shots which are just simple observations.
