BeakerSt: I was initially tempted to only focus on the veg but felt that it would give nowhere for the eye to rest.

Thanks

I find this sort of thing absolutely fascinating. I love the repetition of similar elements. The blue at the bottom is the icing on the cake.
BeakerSt: Cheers Jimbo, this is my absolute favourite style of photography. If you like it then check out http://www.gorin-images.com/blog/index.php?x=browse

great symmetry simon though i am little surprised you didn't crop a smidgen more on top. you must have been in real holiday mode. lovely shot
BeakerSt: I agonised over where to crop it as it is!! smile
That's a great idea ! smile Most of the vegetables are... good and... photogenic !! smile
BeakerSt: Thanks Flo smile
Simple and effective composition, I love these colours, they look great toghether in an ugle but beautiful way...sorry can't explaine it in English smile
BeakerSt: Thanks Aksel, I do know what you mean smile
Parecen colores que no son amigos. Pero el resultado es perfecto.

They seem colors that are not friends. But the result is perfect.
BeakerSt: Thanks JA, I agree that the colour combination is unusual!
The light is very bright. I am surprised it works so well. (Well, not surprised coming from you, but, say, if it were me taking the photo, I probably wouldn't risk it.)
BeakerSt: Thanks Karen, I agree it could have been better with lower light, stronger colours. Its verging on being washed out but I think the strong shapes compensate a little.

...go on risk it wink
The blue and the green are smashing together, and I really appreciate the natural patterns of the artichokes.
BeakerSt: An unlikely combination but it did have some appeal...pleased you liked it. Thanks
