Morning ladies and gentleman, still no news on broadband due to a delicate relationship between Carphone Warehouse (Talk Talk) and BT...did I say relationship, I actually meant to say no relationship...the sage continues.  The upshot of it all means I'm not blogging around and leaving comments as much as I'd like, if at all, I will be back as soon as I can...promise.

This shot was taken on a rather undulating crossing on the ferry between Weehawken and Manhattan.  Everyone else was looking at the skyscrapers...there's me taking photos of chairs...again!

Challenge II - "Shadow" closing date is the end of the month.
Brief is simple, the focal point of the shot has to be a shadow.  I don't want to any pet's called Shadow or a stack of money won on a horse called Shadow...pure and simple it has to be a shadow based shot.  The reason I have set this as the challenge is that quite often we are distracted by the solid subject, whether it be a person or a lamp or chair and quite often we overlook the shadow it has created in either bright sunlight or even strong light.  It can make a interesting composition when considered.

If you want to partake it's simple, post a shot on your own shutterchance blog and then post a comment on my blog to tell me which shot you want to have considered.  Later in the week I'll post a list of those that have participated in this particular challenge so you can see who you are up against.  It's just a bit of fun that I hope we can all learn from.

Bye for now.

It's a chair thing!

I think I'd have been taking photos of the skyscrapers too smile Nice spot though.
broadband scmaudband. The sooner we go back to yogurt pots & bits of string the better...
BeakerSt: Thanks Andy, need to catch up soon but I'd probably prefer the phone to a yoghurt pot as I don't have enough string
Very graphic and I like the blue tone you gave here.
BeakerSt: Thanks Flo, hope you are well smile
Your eye for patterns is really something. Lovely tones here.
BeakerSt: Thanks, nice compliment
