its clean yet gritty. nice angle simon. i am really enjoying your photographs and i am a fan of your post processing technics smile
BeakerSt: Cheers genevieve, I'm not exactly sure what I do with my shots but I certainly try and take the shot correctly first so they shouldn't need too much processing. This one is curves, levels and a little saturation reduction.

Enjoy the weekend!

you did very well with a potentially dull subject. but i'm always a fan of repetition in forms. good one...alex
BeakerSt: Cheers alex, this is actually darkened a little to create a bit more atmosphere. Thanks
very interesting composition! grin
BeakerSt: Yeah, I happened to be there rather than going there specifically for the shot. smile

Great shot Simon. You make some great photos from really... REALLY dull scenarios.
The long winter evenings must simply fly by wink
BeakerSt: When you have a blog you'll end up shooting everywhere!!

this was well seen - I would have walked straight past a grest picture
BeakerSt: It's not as dodgy an area as it looks wink
Great depth to this shot and the repetition really makes it.
BeakerSt: Thanks Bernie, me and repetition go way back.
It works...
BeakerSt: Ahh thanks Barbara

Something about the tilt in the image adds the punch... can't put my finger on it.
BeakerSt: Have you been drinking again Mia?? grin

Whoa... I SWEAR to God it looked tilted! It's an optical illusion! Arggh... I need another drink. I mean, some more OJ.

(Quick, I gotta say something intelligent)

Uhm, I like the parking lot. How come there's no one around?
I would put this one down to experience, Simon. I don't think the crop is much good, when you could have taken a shot that didn't include the barrier. Don't honestly know why you included that barrier, it ruins the shot imho. Sorry, I know how harsh the crit sounds, but you set your own standards, and this comes in below yours.
BeakerSt: I am actually pleased you feel comfortable leaving negative comment/positive critique, it depends how you look at it. I agree with you, it was worse in that it had blue arrows which attracted even more attention!

Thanks but please never come back, you are no longer welcome wink
