photoblog image Star Quality

Star Quality

I do like the star burst light, I think it adds a 'dressing room' feel to it.  I also asked the model to cross her legs to give a more slender graceful look to the line of the leg especially as the lighting focusses the attention there.

Not going to say much else about this other than I really like it.

BeakerSt: It was awkward to get down there!
The angle this was taken from gives it a fresh look. Good work!

sUBY
BeakerSt: Kind of you Suby, she is relieved with the positive comments
The surroundings of the photography are peculiar, but the angle of the taking and the dark ceiling with the light point, make the composition very pleasant.
BeakerSt: Yeah its a bathroom, thanks for the positive comment
really really nice idea about the camera's position! good!
BeakerSt: Thanks, I'm pleased you appreciate it

I like it too! (and so does everyone as it appears tongue) very creative indeed. It looks so natural. And as if someone has a reality show camera feel to it.
BeakerSt: Thanks Mia, hope you don't think I was spying smile)
i agree with having the model cross her legs, it does make her appear more slender, feminine and innocent. the treatment also works very well. i also like the angle (you must have been laying on the floor). this shot has a very voyeuristic feel to it. i like it a lot. if this is your bathroom, well then i am jealous. i love the wooden vanity.
BeakerSt: Hi genevieve, I'm glad you appreciate the leg crossing...took a little placement and trial and error. As for lying on the floor, not quite, luckily the Sony R-1 has an adjustable LCD screen so I didn't need to contort too much.

Sadly it's not our bathroom, just one of the nice places we stopped in our holiday...nice place!!

Take care

I shall avoid saying things like "The model has great legs etc" and concentrate on the image wink I like this image from you because it is a very slight departure from your normal path. Yes, the image is staged but it has a very earthy voyeuristic quality that I like but maintains that Simon composition quality also. I like this very very much. Mal
BeakerSt: Cheers Mal, the only staging was her crossing her feet. I was in the shower behind her when I spotted the opportunity so what you aren't seeing is me in a short towel still dripping wet and probably with shampoo in my hair...not such a good shot!!! wink

Thanks for stopping by...shouldn't you be at the airport yet??
Hello !! Thanks for all your enthusistic comments on blog, they were appreciated !! It was nice to read you again ! Are living around the Milky Way ? smile

I was going to say that hiding in the clothes basket for extended peiods can pay off but you have already answered your shooting angle to mal. I like the different perspective of this simon and the light bulb is cool.
BeakerSt: You've found me out...
